Headquarters, Services of Supply
Office of the Chief Signal Officer

Mrs. Sadie Berman
2486 Devoe Terrace
New York, N.Y. |
Dear Mrs. Berman
It is with real pleasure that I extend my felicitations to you on the
occasion of your son's graduation from the Officer's Candidate School at
Fort Monmouth. |
In the seventy-three years of distinguished military history the Signal
Corps has welcomed a great many brave and excellent officers to it's
services. As a successor to them now, your son has the opportunity to
display the characteristics of honor, manliness, and leadership that you
have labored in these past years to inculcate in him. |
I hope that it will be possible for you to attend the graduation
exercise
at Fort Monmouth so that Lieutenant Avy Berman will know that his family
is present at his hour of achievement, and that you, as well as the Signal
Corps of the Army of the United States, are wishing him success and
God-speed in his new assignment. |
Sincerely,
Donald Olmstead
Major General
Chief Signal Officer of the Army |
