Letter # 62

July 9, 1945

Dear Mom,
I've been very busy the past few days and haven't had a chance to write. I received three letters from you dated June 23rd, 25th and 27th which I am answering now.

I now have 40 missions to my credit for a total of 347:40 hours or 91,5 points. Unfortunately they just went off the point system and now I have to wait for my replacement to come in before I can go home. As soon as we get a few more crews in the squadron I'll be finished. In the meantime I'll probably fly over my 100 points.

I caught a cold last week and it's quite annoying. My nose is clogged and right now I have a slight headache. Because of that I find it hard to difficult to write and I'll probably quit after this letter.

There isn't much more to say as I'm tired and I think I'll take a nap before lunch.

My regards to all

Love Avy

P.S. I'll write a better letter tomorrow.
