Letter # 73

September 13, 1945

Dear Mom,
I received your letters of Aug.27th and 29th and was very glad that Jerry is home. In a few days I expect to be on my way home.

It's about time Jerry was given a furlough and I hope that he'll be eligible for a discharge in the near future. He's seen enough service as far as I'm concerned. I hope that in the event he has to remain in the Army for a while yet, that he'll be kept in the states.

There's nothing new here and I'm waiting for my orders. I expect them in very shortly and then on to Frisco. In the meantime I'm struggling to keep myself busy so I won't go crazy from inactivity.

That's about all I have to say for the present so I'll say goodbye.

My regards to all

Love Avy
