Letter # 31

March 9, 1945 Friday

Dear Mom,
I have your letters of Feb. 22nd and 25th and since I have another day of rest I've decided to answer them. I haven't flown since March 1st so I've had a pretty good rest.

I'm glad you were able to pay a visit to Ellen O'Rourke and I'm glad to hear that they're well. That's a cute picture of the baby. I've written her but she probably won't receive the latter for another ten days.

For the first time I'm actually stumped for words. For the life of me I just can't think of anything to say. That picture of Jerry is very poor and it's hard to see any likeness. The moustache is deceiving also.

That's about all I have for the present but the next letter will be longer.

My regards to all

Love Avy
